Died from illnesses contracted as a result of work on the rescue and recovery from the World Trade Center attacks of September 11, 2001. Detective Jennifer Williams died as the result of cancer that she developed following her assignment to the search and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center site following the 9/11 Terrorist Attacks. Detective Williams had served with the NYPD for 22 years. She is survived by her husband and two children.
